Everyone goes through life challenges. Even when we feel like we have everything under control, maybe you have a tiny voice in you that feels slightly overwhelmed and wants help. And that's okay! There is nothing wrong with seeking a little help in which I, myself, find it admirable. Seeking help does not mean you're weak; in fact, it means that you are aware of your thoughts, feelings, and behavior patterns, and you are ready to work through it to make the change you desire.
I believe in therapy there is no "one size fits all." I use an integrative approach that is customized to your goals as well as a variety of collaborative therapeutic methods, such as person-centered, cognitive behavior therapy, strength-based, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness. My mission is to meet you where you are, guide you through the journey of healing, and achieve a greater sense of inner peace, self-love, and compassion while exuding the same to others.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a passion for helping people find their "why" beyond the surface. I hold a Master's of Science in Mental Health Counseling at Long Island University and completed a Bachelor of Arts In Forensic Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I have experience working with families and children in the child welfare system presenting with a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, sexual abuse and truancy.
I try to practice what I encourage: Being kind to myself. In my spare time, I enjoy being outside admiring nature, dancing, cooking, and visiting the world.
